Evening primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of evening primrose plant. It contains a special fatty acid called gamma linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is an Omega-6 oil.
Although your body can make small amounts of GLA, this can be affected by factors such as ageing, smoking, pollution and nutritional deficiencies. The benefits of taking evening primrose oil is to provide a regular source of essential GLA.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant, which contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It protects the Evening Primrose Oil in the softgels from going rancid, and also protects the cells in your body once swallowed.
